Bio
BioMichael P. Boyle is supervisor of the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Group within APL’s Research and Exploratory Development Department. His recent work includes serving as the lead engineer for the Air National Guard KC-135 High Value Airborne Asset (HVAA) Pod. He teaches Computer-Aided Design and Finite Element Analysis courses to undergraduate students in the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Whiting School of Engineering and to graduate students in the JHU Engineering for Professionals program, for which he is also the program manager. His areas of expertise include mechanisms, spacecraft instrument design, and reverse engineering.
